Namaste
A warm greeting to you all.
Here in Gaya the early days of Spring are hot. As you will probably know our centre building is in the process of being replaced as it was no longer for purpose and is the subject of a special appeal on GlobalGiving
https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/rescue-junction-needs-a-new-home/
We are managing with some difficulty to maintain services by using rented space and facilities at our office to make sure no child in need or distress is ever turned away.
If I may can I share a simple story of a lost little girl..
A small 7 – 8 years old girl child came with her mother to attend the wedding and got lost. Concerned citizens saw her being offered sweets by two men and intervened. It was their actions and response from our staff that maybe saved her life. They took her to the nearest Police Station
Bodh Gaya police tried to trace the mother but they failed. The Officer in charge in charge informed about that child to People first Chairman Mr. Deepak Kumar and that the Child in not able to talk about her parents and crying. Then he immediately directed Rescue Junction team to find their parents.
Offering a lot of care and support the team the team established trust and and tried their level best to trace her parents, contacted all Police station of city (if there is any missing report of that child), tried to contacted local representative, at last team got success in tracing her parents and parents told “We almost lost our hope to meet her. We are very thankful to People First India (Rescue Junction team) was very happy after meeting her parents” .
With your support we can help many more children, thank you so much for your compassion and kindness
Priya
