Hello Dear friends and supporters,

Here is hoping this report finds you and your family well.

Here at Rescue Junction, we are all very excited at the new building taking shape which will be a safe comfortable and brilliant new facility for all our children.

In particular we will be able to have new facilities for the girls including comfortable and bright counselling rooms and brand new bedrooms . We will be able to continue our craft training and we are looking at adding computer skills training for all the children.

All of this has been made possible by your help and support.

This is from one girl who we will call Lydia (not her real name)

"I ran away from home because my stepfather was abusing me . I had nowhere to go but one teacher at my high school was very kind to me and rescued me from my father who came to her house and demanding he take me. She called the Police who took  me to Rescue Junction where the kind staff took me in their arms and hugged me until I felt safe . Over a long period the staff worked with all members of my family supporting me with my education and keeping me safe. Now I am living with another relative under the care and protection of the community programme at Rescue Junction which will continue for as long as I need it. I cannot thank enough all the kind people who help make Rescue Junction possible. They saved my life. I will never forget What they have done for me in my life now bathed in sunshine not darkness.

My stepfather cannot harm me as he is now in jail for many years.

Thank you so much!"

Lydia (Age 14)
