Sierra Leone is prone to threats and epidemics with challenges to meet the SDGs. COVID-19 crisis has pernicious impact on girls already living in poverty. Our goal is to leave no girl-child behind in the street and child marriage homes. The country's state of emergency, closure of schools, poor health facilities, etc has an adverse effect on girls, their families and communities. COVID-19 has put extra thousands of girls at risk of early and enforced marriage and sexual exploitation. The closure of schools and poor health care facilities, leave girls increasingly vulnerable. The crisis has caused deepened poverty, job insecurity, hunger and financial burdens on families, causing them to marry off their daughters early. We have to fight back, so that crisis would not undo decades of work done to end the practice. Help us end COVID's transmission and early child marriage
We are placing the voices of girls at the centre of the work that we do. We want to reach 600 girl-children, disables and the vulnerable affected by child marriage and sexual exploitation. Your donation will help prevent the transmission and socio-economic effect of COVID-19, protect our rescued girls, provide Free Meal vouchers, hygiene kits, drop-in centre, education, vital benefits, crisis support, counselling and referrals to appropriate authorities including the Police for immediate actions
ChildHelp knows from past crises the long-term indirect impacts that faced vulnerable girls. Girls will be reunified and counselled, and supported to gain and achieve maximum potential in life. ChildHelp will continue to work closely with the government, human rights bodies, stakeholders, and to amplify women and girls' voices and ensure that they are an active part of the process of rebuilding. Join us and be part, to make this a history
