Challenge

Young girls are vulnerable and it has become even difficult to get girls back to school following long-term school closures due to the COVID-19 in Liberia. During the Ebola outbreak, the World Bank carried out several waves of phone surveys in Liberia and Sierra Leone. In Liberia it was reported that approximately 25% did not enter school after reopening. This project seeks to create an opportunity for 100 vulnerable girls to get back in school through tuition assistance.

Solution

Youth Network for Positive Change will provide Tuition Aid to Vulnerable Girls to return to school.

Long-Term Impact

The project will provide education opportunity for 100 girls through the provision of tuition assistance to vulnerable girls in Montserrado County, Liberia which will enable them to return to school.

Additional Documentation

This project has provided additional documentation in a DOCX file (projdoc.docx).
