Dear Friends,
Greetings from the Indian Dreams Foundation!
It is our pleasure to share with you the updates of the Smiley Days Project that aims to disseminate knowledge and information towards menstrual hygiene management and wellbeing to the targeted adolescent girls and women from underserved communities of Agra, India.
Throughout the world and particularly in less developed nations. Feminine hygiene remains poorly understood and menstruation is surrounded by stigma. This leads to unawareness of menstrual health management and limited access to menstrual products. Hence, Smiley Days project helps to create awareness among women and adolescent girls towards MHM and guide them to follow hygiene practices during menstruation to stay safe and healthy.
Under Smiley Days, we conduct interactive, educational MHM workshops with adolescent girls in communities and schools, and the team is dedicated to spreading awareness even in the COVID19 situation and access free menstrual products.
Recently, we organized an awareness workshop with a small group of girls and distributed hygiene kits to them that consist of sanitary pads, soap, sanitizer, mask, paste, toothbrushes. Thus, Smiley Days helps to give healthy smiles.
Many thanks again for your support!
We will continue to keep you updated about our work, events and story of change.
