Greetings from the Indian Dreams Foundation!
Indian Dreams Foundation conducted an MHM awareness session with 35 girls last week. The session was interactive the girls enjoyed it a lot and discussed their queries with the MHM Trainer.
Details of the session are below;
No. of participants: 35 School Girls
Age group: 11 to 15 years
Area/ Community: Gopal Pura & Nandpura
Topics Covered: Age of Menarche, Normal days of Menstrual Cycle, How to calculate menstrual
cycle, the Importance of Sanitary Napkins and the Distribution of Hygiene kits
The hygiene kit contains: Sanitary napkins, Washing Soap, Bathing Soap, Mask, Vaginal Wash.
The team collected a few testimonials from the participants during the session,
"Why do only girls menstruate?" asked a girl named Surbhi (name changed).
"I never discussed the periods with anyone but now I can talk about it confidently with you Didi. You are the only one with whom I feel so comfortable and secure talking about my periods' issues. Thank you Didi", said Isha (name changed) to the trainer.
