Hello our dear friends and donors,
From Tanzania, Arusha, we write you another update on our water project.
After the first generously donated water roll we couldn't move further because lack of funds, but we made other plans too. We heard from the community that watertanks are a possible solution to overcome the dryer periods between the rainseasons.
Water is collected and covered in the water tanks, so the cattle or the vegetables can be watered by the villagers. The question will be, how big we gonna make it, and if it's gonna be a collective facility or at a farmers location.
That depends on the amount of money available, but a lot of small watertanks makes it easier to handle and to install. So we are flexible and if you have a wish for a special cause, we anticipate on it and discuss it with the donor(s) involved.
At the moment you hear about great floods in South Tanzania, thats not in our region, but we have plenty of big rains to, followed by short or long dry periods, we like to overcome. In this way the people have easier acces to water, crops will have a bigger harvest and cattle won't starve.
With your donations we have helped a lot of people allready, hopefully we can get this project going again with your generous help.
Kind Regards,
Pendaeli Amos and Peter de Laat
