Action is better than plans, so we are happy to inform you on another great activity in this project, like we mentioned in the previous report.
Yesterday (24.February 2026), we had the pleasure of visiting representatives from four villages - Shishton, Muungano, Mbaaseny, and Ngajisosia, who gathered at the Makilenga office to receive donated water pipe rolls. A total of 32! rolls were distributed based on the specific needs and current situations of each village, as outlined below:
1. Shishton Village – 2 rolls
2. Muungano Village – 13 rolls
3. Mbaaseny Village – 11 rolls
4. Ngajisosia Village – 6 rolls
The village representatives expressed their sincere gratitude for the support. The women, in particular, shared their appreciation, noting that the improved access to water will significantly reduce the long distances they and their children previously traveled to fetch water. This will allow women to dedicate more time to their income-generating activities, while children will have more time to focus on their studies after school hours.
Village leaders, Pastors and the Makilenga Water Project office management also conveyed their deep appreciation for your continued efforts to help alleviate water challenges across the five wards, comprising 22 villages. They kindly requested your ongoing support as they work toward achieving sustainable solutions to their water supply challenges.
They have received the rolls, now they will lay them in the ground and connect them to the existing network. More rolls will be needed, so hopefully we can support them again!
Best Regards,
Pendaeli Amos & Peter de Laat
