Help Women Access Life Saving Cancer Care

By Joy Ojochogwu Etubi | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Thank you for your interest in the Give 50 Nigerian Women Access to Cancer Care project. At this time, no donations have been received, so screening and treatment support have not yet begun.

In many parts of Nigeria, women are diagnosed with cancer at very late stages because they cannot afford early tests or do not have access to care. Fear and stigma also prevent many from seeking help, leaving symptoms unchecked until it becomes difficult to treat.

Without timely screening and treatment, many women lose their lives to conditions that could have been managed if detected early. Families are left without mothers and caregivers, and the impact spreads across households and communities.

This project is designed to provide free cancer screening and full treatment support for 50 women, including tests, surgery, and follow-up care. It will also train women in self-examination so they can detect early signs and seek help sooner.

With access to proper care, more women can receive treatment on time and improve their chances of survival. Awareness through training can also help others recognize symptoms early and take action.

We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so these women can receive the care they urgently need.

Sincerely,

Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
Project Leader
