Blood Pressure Monitors for Local Health Centers

By Joy Ojochogwu Etubi | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank everyone who has supported the Give 500 Blood Pressure Monitors to Health Centers project. Your support shows concern for people living in areas where silent illnesses often go unchecked until serious harm occurs.

High blood pressure affects many people in rural and low-income communities, yet most health centers do not have enough equipment to measure it. Patients often visit clinics without having their blood pressure checked, and warning signs are missed. This leads to strokes, heart failure, and sudden deaths that could have been prevented with early testing and follow-up care.

This project is planned to supply 500 blood pressure monitors to rural clinics and slum-based health centers that currently lack basic screening tools. Health workers will receive simple guidance on correct use and care of the devices. With these monitors, clinics can check patients during routine visits, keep basic records, and respond early when readings are high.

At this point, although donations have been received, the amount available does not yet allow us to move into purchasing and distribution. We are continuing to seek additional support so that procurement and delivery can begin.

Once the project is able to move forward, these monitors will support regular screening, reduce emergency cases, and help many people manage their health before complications arise. We will keep donors informed as progress is made.

Thank you for your support and continued interest in improving access to basic health services.

Kind regards,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
