Thank you for your generous support of RISE - your donation helped us fund our project "Give 50 kids in Angola the chance to go to school." RISE is raising funds to build an 8-classroom school at Alto Esperanca where they are in desperate need of a school, actually multiple schools, as there are 6,000 kids out of school in the area. Construction of the school will not begin until all funds are raised. Several fundraising events throughout the year will help contribute toward the $200,000 needed to build the school. We hope to begin construction in early 2016.
Our GlobalGiving project has helped tremendously, but more funds are needed to get even more kids in school, so we have increased our project goal from giving 50 kids the chance to go to school, to giving 60 kids that opportunity. Will you help us spread the word? The cost is to get the school built, but children will be in those classrooms for the next 25 to 30 years, which breaks down to about $10 per student per year - an amazing return on investment!
