Thanks to all of you our GlobalGiving project "Give 60 kids in Angola the chance to go to school" has been fully funded. The funds will be used along with donations made through other RISE fundraising efforts to build a school in the village of Alto Esperanca. The community is waiting in excited anticipation for the construction of their new school. Upon coompletion in 2016, the school will be dedicated and turned over to the community and Ministry of Education, who will provide desks, chalkboards, some textbooks and will hire and pay the teachers.
You are making a difference in the lives of families in Angola, who now have a hope for the future. We hope that you will consider continuing your support to help give even more kids the opportunity for education. We have set up our new project, "Help fund a classroom for kids in rural Angola" to begin raising funds toward our next RISE school. We will update the project once a site has been identified. Again, thank you for your generous support of RISE!
