Give a Student the Tools They Need to Dream Big!

Project Summary
The “Give a Student the Tools They Need to Dream Big” campaign aimed to provide essential school supplies to underserved students, ensuring they are better equipped to learn, participate, and thrive in their education journey.

Thanks to generous contributions including USD $200 raised through GlobalGiving we successfully distributed 300 school kits to students living in Program Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) communities in the Klang Valley. These beneficiaries are part of our weekly tutoring sessions under two of our core community programmes:

1) Education Recovery Tutoring Initiative (ERTI)
2) Program Komuniti Perkasa (PKP)

Each community received 150 school kits helping to ease the financial burden of preparing children for school.

Impact

The school kits were specially curated in collaboration with a local partner Becon Stationery to ensure each child receives a high quality and functional set of supplies. Each kit included:

• 1x School Bag
• Pens and Pencils
• Markers
• Notebook

These tools simple yet essential help students confidently participate in classes and pursue their learning with greater focus and motivation. For many this was their very first new school bag and stationery set making the distribution an especially joyful and memorable occasion.

What’s Next
We hope to continue supporting these communities beyond this distribution. We aim to expand our reach and continue offering school readiness support quality tutoring and holistic development for students in PPR communities. Future fundraising efforts will go towards sustaining and scaling our impact across more communities.
