This project supports 240 orphan children in Goma, DRC, who face hunger and isolation due to conflict and poverty. We will provide a nutritious Christmas meal, gifts, and joyful activities inside local orphanages. Funds cover food supplies, meal preparation, and recreation giving vulnerable children a moment of warmth, dignity, and hope during Christmas.
In Goma, North Kivu, years of armed conflict, disease, and poverty have left over 500 orphan children without family support. Many lack regular access to nutritious food, clothing, and emotional care. During Christmas, these children face deeper isolation and hunger, reinforcing trauma and loss instead of joy and belonging.
This project delivers direct, immediate relief by organizing a Christmas celebration inside orphanages in Goma. We purchase food locally, prepare balanced meals, distribute gifts, and organize games and performances. These actions meet urgent nutritional needs while restoring joy, dignity, and emotional well-being to orphan children.
While this project meets urgent Christmas needs, its impact reaches further. Moments of care help orphan children rebuild trust, emotional stability, and a sense of belonging. Children who feel valued are more likely to engage in education and community life, strengthening resilience and hope in post-conflict Goma over time.
