Give Clean Water: Syria, Gaza and Lebanon

Camps in northern Syria face a critical shortage of clean water, increasing disease risks and disrupting daily life. To address this issue, SAED implemented a potable-water distribution project targeting camps and severely affected neighborhoods.
The project includes filling and transporting sterilized water tanks, as well as distributing bottled water in areas inaccessible to tankers. Coordination with local councils helped identify safe, accessible distribution points and ensure water quality standards.
This initiative improved public health and fulfilled a vital need for thousands of displaced families, especially during high temperatures and poor infrastructure conditions. Regular distribution ensured a steady and reliable water supply.

With infrastructure severely damaged and clean water sources scarce in northern Syria, thousands of families face a daily risk of consuming contaminated water. The destruction of water systems and the lack of basic services have made access to safe drinking water an urgent necessity—especially for children who are most vulnerable to waterborne diseases.

In response, Saed for Relief and Development launched a water distribution project across several camps and underserved areas. The initiative includes filling water tanks and distributing bottled drinking water regularly to ensure that each family receives sufficient clean water.

This intervention has significantly reduced the spread of diseases and improved hygiene and public health conditions in the camps. It has also relieved families from the burden of walking long distances to obtain water that is often unsafe for drinking or cooking.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for this vital support, noting how it restored a sense of safety and provided a reliable, clean water source amid overwhelming hardship.
