Summary

Tania is a 14 years old girl born with ataxia, a motor disease, that will soon graduate from basic education after having suffered a true ordeal of school exclusion. How? Thanks to a re-entry schoolof Hogar de Cristo, where she managed to study without being discriminated. Knowing Tania, would you stop helping her? There is no greater gratification than giving and be given, because no one is too poor to not help and we need more than ever to make Chile a truly fair and dignified country for all

Challenge

Tania was in four girls' schools, where she never managed to finish a course. Those who had to help her became a real race with obstacles...They gave her reasons such as: "We can't help you here," "We don't have an elevator and the room is on the 2n floor", "It would be convenient to take it to a special establishment"; "we don't have the right staff". Today, there are more than 200,000 young people outside the Chilean school system. Help us give them a better future and fulfill their dreams.

Solution

Let's give these young people the chance to complete their education. We will support young people by providing the comprehensive care essential for their human and educational development. Your help will allow them to continue their studies at our re-entry schools, with a multidisciplinary team where the work is personalized, assuring quality education in a safe environment where they can develop and create ties.

Long-Term Impact

These young people, many similar to Tania, will build harmonious relationships with their classmates, form bonds through friendship, and develop self-confidence. The majority of them will continue their studies once they graduate, as we accompany the graduate for at least 2 years after having graduated, with scholarships for further education. 55% of these young people continue studying and become the 1st generation in their families to go on to further education and lifting them out of poverty.
