Dear Donors, Partners and Friends,
XSProject would like to introduce you to our new group of First Graders. Their first day of school was August 4.
XSProject commits to send every trash picker's child in our community to school for 12 years. So these 6 and 7 year-olds are the graduating class of 2026!
Since they were very young, they have watched their older sisters, brothers and friends go to school. Now that it is their turn, the children have been excited waiting for this day. They have been well prepared at the XSVillage pre-school by the Early Childhood Development (ECD) teachers who have made sure they will be successful this year and onward.
It costs XSProject $150.00 a year per child to provide everything they need to complete their education through Grade 6. XSProject raises this money through donations and fundraising events. Without our GlobalGiving community, our work would not be sustainable.
Even in the poorest communities, the children are starved for learning. They know that an education can change their lives and the living conditions of their family.
Every year the number of students that XSProject supports grows.Of all the children who have ever been a part of the XSEducation program, only one has dropped out. We think this is a pretty good investment to change a life.
