95 students under our XSEducation program have all back and settling in to the school routines since a month ago. This year we are proud to have 12 students on our forth batch of kindergarten and 12 students are in the University.
At the start of new school year, one of our main program is providing school supplies to all students, and they are very much looking forward to receive backpack, shoes, uniforms, books, pencils, etc. This is very important for the parents and the students as that is the sign of readiness for the kids to start their first day of school.
Our goal since the beginning is to make sure that each child will receive the continuous education from kindergarten to Primary, MS, HS and University if they want to. This is what we continue to focus on.
It’s been 10 years since we started join GlobalGiving with this project of giving an education to a trash picker’s child, now the same students that were in Grade 1, 10 years ago, is in Grade 10 this year. Pretty soon, they will continue their older students to join the University program. That is what we like to see for all 90 students that are with us now.
Your donation to XSProject through GlobalGiving has a direct impact on making this happen. XSProject helps the children aim to have a better life not just for themselves but also for their parents. Showing and providing more opportunities and new experiences outside the world they are living in will give them more reasons to work hard in school and gain more knowledge.
We hope you will continue to support our work in the trash picker community as you are helping to make a difference for them. We continue to count on it.
