Higher electricity bills mean less money for programs for people with disabilities. We cannot give up on the necessary programs which give them a chance to become independent! That is why we have decided to build a photovoltaic installation. The savings from this investment will be spent on the rehabilitation programs and special training apartments where people with physical disabilities learn how to become self-sufficient. Additionally, this investment will benefit the environment.
In Poland, the price of electricity has increased, on average, by 20 percent in 2021. Additional electricity price increases have been announced. We are worried about the effect of energy price inflation on the funding of our programs. Rising electricity prices reduce funds available for therapy and rehabilitation for people with disabilities.
On the roof of the Rehabilitation Center we will install 72 panels with nominal power of 450 Wp. The installation will produce about 731 MWh over the course of 25 years. Photovoltaics means lower electricity bills! The savings will go directly for funding therapy and rehabilitation of people with disabilities!
Since June 2021 the Rehabilitation Center has been operating. This is a first stage of the development plan. At the Center, people with disabilities get free consultations from specialists, who evaluate their medical condition, assign specialized physiotherapy, active rehabilitation classes to overcome barriers and exercises with the use of modern equipment. Throughout the year, more than 60 people benefit from regular, free of charge rehabilitation.
