Ivory Coast schools closure on March 16th because of the coronavirus pandemic affected school meal programs. Underprivileged children including orphans and street children used to rely on meals provided at their schools. With the Pandemic, a nutritious meal per day belongs to the past leaving many hungry and vulnerable. We believe that assuring the provision of at least a meal per day will provide a substantial relief to families that typically work in the informal sectorand that are hit the
hardest from government policies to contain the pandemic. The funding mobilized from this campaign will be channeled to "Missionnaires de la Charite" and the church of Sant' Egidio in Abidjan, which will assure the distribution of meals to 500 kids (including orphans and street children) who attended school in the Kumassi neighborhood.
