Help Give Safe Care to Mothers

By Joy O. Etubi | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

In communities where pregnant women often face childbirth without any medical guidance, we are taking action. This project is designed to provide free antenatal care to those most in need. Your consideration already brings hope, and we thank you for recognizing the urgent need to protect mothers and babies.

Nigeria still struggles with some of the highest maternal and infant death rates in the world. Many women in low-income and rural communities cannot afford regular antenatal visits. Others must travel long distances to reach health facilities, and some rely only on traditional birth attendants because of cost or access barriers. Without proper antenatal care, conditions such as high blood pressure, anemia, and infections go undetected, leading to dangerous complications during childbirth.

Our plan is to organize free antenatal clinics in poor communities. Women will receive checkups, health education, blood pressure monitoring, and essential supplements. Trained health workers will guide them on nutrition, safe delivery planning, and warning signs to watch out for. This project will reduce risks, prepare mothers for safer deliveries, and give babies a healthier start to life.

Although no donations have come in yet, we are ready to start once funds are available. Contributions will go directly into medical supplies, supplements, transportation for health workers, and outreach to identify pregnant women who need these services most.

We thank you once again for your kindness in considering this project. With your help, poor pregnant women will gain access to care that can save lives and strengthen families.

Warm regards,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
