Dear donors,
We sincerely thank you for your support toward the “Give Free Antenatal Care to Poor Pregnant Women” project. The funds received so far are not sufficient to begin providing care, and we appeal for further support so that we can reach more women in need.
Many pregnant women in rural and low-income areas do not attend clinics because of high costs, long travel distances, or fear of medical procedures. Without regular check-ups, risks like complications, malaria, or nutritional deficiencies often go unnoticed. Some women give birth at home without skilled care, putting both mother and baby at serious risk.
This project will bring free antenatal services closer to these women. Trained nurses will provide monthly visits with screenings, supplements, malaria prevention, and guidance on safe delivery. Health education will cover nutrition, recognizing danger signs, and newborn care, explained in simple language. By removing cost and distance barriers, women can receive vital care without traveling far or facing financial hardship.
Regular access to antenatal care can improve outcomes for both mothers and babies. Women who attend check-ups are more likely to have safer deliveries, healthier newborns, and better understanding of breastfeeding and childcare. Over time, communities will gain trust in maternal health services, leading to stronger maternal and child health across the area.
Your assistance can make a life-saving difference, helping pregnant women access the care they need and giving their children the best start in life.
Respectfully,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
