We extend our deepest gratitude to you, our generous donors, for standing with us in the mission to provide free antenatal care to poor and vulnerable pregnant women. Your kindness has transformed lives, bringing hope and health to women who otherwise would have faced pregnancy without medical support.
On May 21 (Thursday), we provided financial support to four pregnant women in Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, to help them enroll and stay in antenatal care. All the women are petty traders and while two are going for antenatal care, the remaining two are yet to be enrolled as a result of lack of funds. While three of the women have two and three children separately, one is yet to bear a child.
The two who are yet to be enrolled are now receiving antenatal care, courtesy of your support. We'll be visiting the hospitals where they're registered, to make sure that they're keeping to their appointments.
Four persons were selected for this project, based on the availability of funds, which came from $11.64 we received since our report on September 24, last year and the money we raised from GlobalGiving's partner organization (Benevity).
Your support has laid a strong foundation, but there still remains a need. Many more poor pregnant women are still not receiving antenatal care, as a result of lack of funds. With your continued support, we can expand our reach and ensure that no woman faces pregnancy alone. With the availability of more funds also, we look forward to visiting and supporting these women when they deliver.
Thank you so much for being a part of this life-saving journey. Together, we are rewriting the maternal health story of poor pregnant women. May you be blessed immensely in all your endeavors.
