We are so grateful for your unwavering support and commitment to empowering marginalized girls in Morocco. Your contributions are fueling transformative change and helping hundreds of girls unlock their potential and claim their rights.
We’re excited to share the latest milestone in our journey together. From October 22nd to 28th, Project Soar brought together 77 motivated Soar girls and 33 dedicated facilitators from 40 sites across Moroccofor a transformative leadership training in Marrakech. This week-long event united beneficiaries from 11 regions, strengthening a vibrant movement of teen girls committed to leadership, advocacy, and community empowerment.
The training was designed to equip Soar Club leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to manage their clubs effectively and inspire their communities. Through dynamic workshops on advocacy and social media strategies, conflict resolution, event planning, and fundraising, participants gained the tools to lead with confidence and create meaningful change. Collaborative workshops encouraged participants to brainstorm, plan, and design innovative community projects, fostering leadership, creativity, and teamwork.
This event was more than just a training - it was a celebration of the Soar community and a testament to the power of solidarity. From group activities to shared meals and cultural outings to places like Bahia Palace and Jemaa El Fna, the girls built deep and lasting connections. Soar Girls left with a renewed sense of unity and determination, ready to champion causes close to their hearts. Reflecting on the experience, Islam Rafiaa, a 16 year old from the Dakhla Soar Club, shared: "This is where girls learn to stand up for their rights, advocate for their communities, and build a support system that empowers us to help one another."
