Dear Friends,
The Project Soar team extends our deepest gratitude to you, our incredible supporters, for your commitment to our mission. Because of you, we’re able to empower marginalized girls across Morocco to build confidence, find their voices, and become catalysts for change in their communities. Your generous contributions are planting the seeds of a powerful teen girl feminist movement, and it’s already beginning to bloom.
Today, we’re excited to share the story of one of those remarkable Soar Girls: Loubna*
At just 12 years old, Loubna joined Project Soar with the goal of challenging herself by trying something new. But she found so much more than that. Through the program, she discovered confidence in her own voice and the courage to pursue her ambitions.
Today, she shares that confidence with others through a message she lives by:
"Trust yourself, and don't let anyone force their opinion on you."
Loubna heard about Project Soar from people in her community in Douar Laadam, she decided to step outside her comfort zone, and quickly embraced every opportunity to learn and grow.
Loubna says two parts of the program especially helped her grow — the Value module, which helped her discover a deeper understanding of her own self-worth as a girl, and the Path module, where she learned how to define her ambitions and work toward them step by step.
Thanks to your support, more girls like Loubna can develop confidence and independence.
As the school year comes to a close, we are also celebrating another successful graduation season for Project Soar's Empowerment Program. Across 27 program sites in Morocco, 679 teen girls celebrated the completion of months of learning, growth, and personal discovery.
Through 25 interactive workshops, participants built confidence, strengthened their leadership and communication skills, deepened their understanding of their rights and well-being. Just as importantly, they formed meaningful friendships and supportive networks that will continue long after the program. Their graduation marks the beginning of a new chapter as they carry the skills and confidence they learned into their communities, and helping create a future where every girl has the opportunity to thrive.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
With gratitude,
The Project Soar Team
