End of Year Scholar Survey

By Katie Fotofili | Board Member

In our most recent survey, we asked our scholars to reflect on their year at UG and their plans for the future. Here are some of their answers:

What was your favorite course this past semester and why?

"Electrical Fundamentals. This was very new to me and opened my eyes to a whole different aspect of electricals processes and everyday electrical systems around us" - Mohendra

"Obstetrics and Gynecology. This year I was able to help with the deliveries of a few new born babies. Understanding the art and beauty of a pregancy was really appreciated." - Hilton

"My favourite course was an elective course called Painting I. It gave me the opportunity to express my creative side with paint, a brush and a canvas. It was very rewarding to see the end result for each painting that I made and I will surely continue to practice and improve those skills." - Uvannie

What have you learned over the past year that you hope to take into the future?

"Nothing comes easy, everything requires effort, so in order for you to get the best out of something you need to put your best into it." - Asheanna

"I have learned so much throughout the past years relating to my field of study. Much emphasis was given on learning the basics of the telecommunications sector and renewable energy. I am hoping to use my knowledge and expertise to the development of my community and country." - Reuel

"I learned that I thrive better with in person interactions than physical isolation. When I returned to the wards, I noticed a shift in my general outlook and mood overall." - Natifa

We are gearing up for the new school year at UG and are excited to introduce you to our new SAGE scholars, in our next report!
