Project Report | Dec 24, 2025
Giving home to adolescents with cancer from Chile

By Pablo Allard | Coordinator of Quality of Life and Development

Dear Supporters,

Thanks to your generosity and commitment, we have continue to transform the lives of adolescents with cancer and their families across Chile. We are deeply grateful for your support, which allows Fundación Camino to offer not just a place to stay, but a true home during one of the most challenging moments of their lives.

Why This Project Matters

In Chile, specialized cancer treatment for adolescents is centralized in Santiago, the capital city. This forces many families to leave their homes, their jobs, and support networks to accompany their children during long and demanding treatment processes far from their home. Adolescence is already a critical stage of life, and facing cancer during this period can deeply affect emotional wellbeing, education, and future life plans.

Fundación Camino was created to respond to this urgent need. We are the first shelter in Chile specifically designed for adolescents with cancer, providing accommodation for young people aged 10 to 19 and one caregiver, regardless of where they come from in the country.

Impact So Far

We have been able to:

Welcome adolescents and families from different regions of Chile

Reduce the financial and emotional burden associated with cancer treatment

Create a warm, youth-centered environment where hope, dignity, and belonging are restored

For many families, Fundación Camino becomes a place of relief, stability, and strength—a home where they can breathe, rest, and feel supported.

Thank You for Being Part of This Journey

Your contribution is more than a donation—it is a message of hope. You are helping adolescents with cancer not only survive, but live with dignity, connection, and a sense of future.

Thank you for standing with Fundación Camino and for helping us turn adversity into an opportunity to transcend.

With gratitude,

Fundación Camino Team
Giving hope a home for adolescents with cancer in Chile
