This project provides treatment cost support for low-income patients with chronic kidney failure requiring regular hemodialysis at hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in Vietnam.
Patients with chronic kidney failure face severe physical weakness and loss of work capacity due to regular dialysis treatments. The costs of medication, transportation, and accommodation place a heavy burden on them and their families. Many feel deep shame as they become financially dependent. The project collaborates with hospital social work departments to receive and review patient applications. Approved patients receive direct financial support through payments made to hospitals to cover part of their dialysis treatment costs.
This project helps ensure that around 100 patients can continue their life-saving dialysis treatments and stabilize their health. It also relieves the financial pressure on 100 families, allowing them to maintain basic living needs and proper nutrition. With this support, many children can stay in school instead of leaving early to help cover medical costs. Beyond the immediate help, the project brings hope, dignity, and stability to families struggling with chronic illness.
