We have amazing testimonies two of our beneficiaries. We have supported on of them from 2009 , she sponsored her secondary school and tertiary education. She is now working and serving community in her hospitality career. This is what she has to say;
"Since the day I joined the sports for change team, I knew I got myself a family. A family you meet once after a while and the connection is real. You meet kids who are undergoing the same challenges growing up as you. In a way, you can connect with them. Growing up to be a hotelier, which I love, I was taught kindness through this team, sports for change. I always purpose to treat people with kindness regardless of their ethnicity or background. I learned to grab every opportunity that comes my way. Through the leadership groups, we host every holiday with the rest of the kids. I'm forever, grateful. I could not ask for more. I'm happy to be working now as a host, a bed and breakfast facility in Malindi- Kenya. Thanks, Shiku for not giving up on us even when things are difficult. Thanks to the team for believing in the good work you started. You are amazing and I can't thank you enough. Like our family, sports for change continue to grow, I pray that you may never lack. It shall be well. Let's all observe safety measures during this pandemic, and we shall all meet again and celebrate victory"
The second girl was rescued by our team. She is bright and had scored very high marks. But her mother could not afford her school fees. This is what she has to say"
" I would like to express my gratitude to you for sponsoring me ... sincerely speaking, it has been of great help. I would like to thank the whole team of sports for change for changing my life and help me fulfil my dreams. This road to success would not be easy without your support.At school. I'm really working hard and I promise never to disappoint you.
Last term, I was selected as the assistant school president because of my discipline, handwork and leadership qualities. Iam so humbled to be selected as a leader in such a big school.
Thanks again for giving me an opportunity to shape my future. My future is bright".
