Give needy kids life and hope through education

Everyone has a dream that wants to pursue in life but sometimes challenges become a barrier.I found myself  in  this situation after my parent were unable to raise fund I required to take me  to good boarding  school I had worked for.

I come  from Murang’a County,Kigumo District.I was  raised up together with my other 5 siblings  by my two parents who totally depend on casual labour from the  able neighbours.The parents earns approximately a total of 100 usd per month.

I sat for her K.C.P.E exam in 2009 and managed to get 324 points out of possible 500 marks.I secured myself a place at Githunguri Girls High School but unfortunetly my parents could not afford the amount needed for me to enrol at Githunguri.I was taken to a nearby secondary school.  I came  knew about sports for change  while in form one and applied.Luckily  I qualified and set my mind to studies to have an attractive performance as it has been my desire.Since then sports for change has been taking care of my school fees.

In 2013 I  sat for my K.C.S.E exam and managed to get a grade C. In  2014 I enrolled at Thika Institute of Business Studies to pursue a diploma in Hospitality Management. Sports for change is as well continued paying my college fee.My dream is to become the best hotelier  and I love cooking.During  my studies I went for an industrial exposure for three months in 2015 at Sentrim Amboseli hotel and  worked in different departments to improve and gain more skills.

I completed my course on September 2016 and  graduated on 23^rd June 2017. Yes… I graduated because sports for change team came along my life and gave me a bright future through their generosity in educating me. Iam a product of work well done by sports for change team and their supporters. Iam so humbled to be one of the beneficiaries.

Thanks to Almighty  God for taking me this far and making me know about sports for change team who are willing to help bright and needy kids who comes from humble background. May God bless you abundantly.
