This project will establish an Irrigation scheme on an already purchased piece of land in Buboko village Buyinja sub county Namayingo District, in Uganda. We shall provide food supplements to 155 HIV/AIDS patients, Elderly and Malnourished kids in the sub county and the District subsequently.
Buboko village in Buyinja sub county has got a greater number of HIV/AIDS affected persons in Namayingo district, Elderly ,orphans and malnourished kids. Much as this is an Agricultural community, subsistence is the common practice and with unpredictable weather conditions, the peasants are unable to produce enough food crops to support the ailing population who are at a risk of starvation. This project will affect about 155 HIV/AID patients, Elderly and malnourished kids.
RAGRIM will provide nutritional supplements, counseling to HIV/AIDS patients and care to the malnourished kids. The project will also act as a model farm in the area and help transform the subsistence farming in Buboko village and Namayingo district susbsequently. The community shall be taught to care for the HIV/AIDS Patients, Orphans and other vulnerable persons.
The project will help about 100 HIV/AIDS patients gain their health and begin to provide support for their families, 30 elderly persons will be supported and 25 malnourished kids will be helped to gain good health. The project will train the community in modern sustainable Agricultural practices and self-reliance.
