The Little-Q-Ranch in Germany is an animal protection ranch and home to more than 120 animals. These include horses, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, geese and many more. The ranch is the refuge for animals who had been abandoned or poorly kept and have been rescued from the butcher. We want to give them a peaceful home where they can be respected and live their lives. Your donations help us to cover the costs for the food and optimal veterinary care.
Every year 300,000 animals end up in German animal shelters; abuses in the care and housing of animals in our vicinity or an increasing number of hens who have to die as soon as their laying performance is reduced. Animal shelters are designed to find a new home for the animals. Mostly this works. But there are also animals which are ill or it's difficult to find a new home for. We want to stand up especially for these so called "livestock" and offer them refuge - We want to give them a HOME.
We can't give all these animals a new home, but true to the motto "Saving a single animal doesn't change the whole world, but the whole world changes for this one animal" the Little-Q-Ranch in Germany was founded in 2007. It is our aim to support the interests of the weakest of these animals, to see them as fellow creatures with their own needs and feelings and to give them a chance to live. The animals on the 25,000 sqm ranch can move freely and receive a lot of affection and optimal care.
The housing and care of the more than 120 animals is secured in the long term. A financial leeway is created to save even more animals and give them a sheltered home on the ranch. In addition, we can continue educating children and their parents and communicate our principle "All life is valuable". Through direct contact with the animals and the wealth of information on the animals and their history, the children - and adults too - learn how to handle animals sensitively and responsibly.
