Mosquito Repellents for Displaced Families

By Joy Ojochogwu Etubi | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Thank you to those who have already supported the Give Mosquito Repellents to 100 Displaced Families project. Your concern for families living in difficult and unsafe conditions is sincerely appreciated.

Displaced families often live in temporary shelters with open spaces, stagnant water, and poor drainage. These conditions attract mosquitoes and increase the risk of malaria and other infections. Many families cannot afford mosquito repellents or nets and resort to unsafe methods such as smoke or covering themselves with old cloths. Children, pregnant women, and elderly family members are especially exposed and fall sick more often.

This project is designed to provide safe mosquito repellents to 100 displaced families. The repellents will be suitable for both children and adults and will be distributed by trained field staff. Each family will receive enough supply to cover the malaria season, along with simple guidance on proper use to reduce health risks and improve protection.

At this time, although donations have been received, the funds available are not enough to launch the project. Procurement and distribution of the repellents cannot begin until additional support is secured.

Once funding improves, we will proceed with distribution and share updates on progress. This support can help reduce malaria cases, limit hospital visits, and allow displaced families to rest more safely at night.

Thank you for standing with vulnerable families as we work to move this project forward.

God bless you!
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
