Project summary
The objectives of this project is to build 4 groundwater boreholes in Southern Rwanda to provide clean and safe water to 4 communities, supply water filters to 731 vulnerable families, including those with disabilities and train 225 family representatives on water purification, disease prevention, sewage disposal, and recycling. The goal is to improve sanitation, reduce waterborne diseases, and address issues like child labor and gender-based violence, especially among young girls fetching water from distant wells.
Accomplished activity: Water Harvesting Training Follow Up
Following the water harvesting training provided to the beneficiaries, our project team has made a door to door follow up on the implementation of the knowledge and skills acquired by beneficiaries about water harvesting and storing and how their lives are being positively impacted. Lack of water harvesting and storing items such as water tanks is one of the biggest challenges vulnerable families are facing.
Most of our trained beneficiaries do not have items that store water such as water tanks
Planned activity
When we get donations, we shall provide water filters to more vulnerable families, including those with disabilities.
Call for action
