This project provides a safe home, education, and emotional support for 50 children and teenagers in Medellin, Colombia, who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment. At Superarse, we help them heal, build life skills, and prepare for independent futures through education, employment, and entrepreneurship. We also support more than 80 graduates as they pursue higher education, meaningful work, and the life they choose to build.
Many children in Colombia grow up without the safety, care, or family support they need after experiencing abuse, neglect, abandonment, or other violations of their rights. Without sustained guidance, education, and opportunities, they face a high risk of repeating cycles of poverty, exclusion, and violence. What they need is not only protection, but the possibility to build a path toward autonomy, confidence, and a future they can shape for themselves.
Superarse provides a safe home, education, emotional support, and loving care for 50 children and teenagers. Through psychosocial support, Montessori-inspired education, sports, arts, and life-skills development, we help them heal and prepare for independent futures. We also support more than 80 graduates with education, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities as they continue building the lives they choose.
Every child deserves the opportunity to define their future, not be defined by their past. Through education, psychosocial care, life-skills development, and guidance for employment and entrepreneurship, Superarse equips children to become confident, independent adults. Our long-term vision is to break cycles of poverty and exclusion by helping them become the first professionals, entrepreneurs, and changemakers in their families and communities.
