(DNPG) have recognize the need of help to build a small water project to maintain and protect natural source of water with a collection chamber and solar pump with substructure for the tank and water pipe as well as all necessary material around the project that everything is completely installed and the clean water for all from the line trickles. A good source of water over a drilled Borehole, situated in Jarra Barra Kunda on the arabic school.
128 schoolchildren have no water and 80 households no clean water, everybody have to walk 6 miles to a watering hole. (Well) water from the well is often infectious and causes diseases and deaths mostly children.The impact of diarrhoeal disease for children under the age of 15 is greater than the combined impact of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
A small water source in the form of a well (bohrehole) will be drilled and protected. A storage tank will be constructed and a solar pump and 3 tabs to collect water. There will be regular water supply channel to 400 people and 128 students.The children and the people from the village have clean drinking water without having to take any risks
Water means life and if 128 children and 400 people in the village have clean water to drink then we have secured with this project life. And this where development Network Platform Gambia stands for.
