Hello Supporters,
Cooking and feeding 40,000 chidren every day is certainly a challenging project for us. We currently feed primary school children in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Costa Rica, Peru, Mexico, Laos and Thailand.
The one thing all our projects have in common is that these children are only fed by us, without us they simply go hungry and over the past 12 months due to funding we have failed to be able to provide daily food to all the children. This project helps to plug a gap so we ensure we are feeding each and every child twice a week, some months we have been able to feed them 3 times a week but this is not enough and we look into their eyes every day knowing we want to do more but we are struggling to raise the funds and we need help.
Our team have been going around local supermarkets and shops asking for donaiton and other food that has passed it selling date and this has helped us go from $1 a child to bout $0.60 per child. We have also raised funds to purhcase seeds and started planting veggies where we have space to help feed the children and even with all this hard work we still sturggle to feed the children.
Our cooks are volunteers and all donations goes directly on the food bill so please remember every penny you donate is going to feed a hungry child.
We hope one day nobody goes to bed hungry but untl then we will never give up!
