GivingTuesday is the Candles of Hope Uganda calendar's single LARGEST funding day. This one day puts us on a solid foundation for a prosperous and successful 2024. We have been given access to a $1.2 MILLION MATCH FUND through a partnership with GlobalGiving. The formula is simple: the more we raise, the larger our share of the match pot will be. In Uganda educating underprivileged children holds a key to the progress of a nation, but the education for such children cannot be realized without improving the welfare of the family - a child cannot go to school and study well when the family especially the immediate caregiver is not healthy and empowered; the family needs decent livelihood opportunities and source of income.
On realizing this, for better children's education, Candles of Hope Uganda has adopted an intensive program approach focused on family health, livelihood, and community engagement in empowerment programs that address the needs of needy children and their families.We are working on having a community green house and we are halfway there, Provide the community with safe water for drinking. Have a community technical school, Build a home where we could give care to the elderly, & Build a hospital
Our primary goal is to provide sustainable solutions which can enable orphans and other vulnerable children to access quality education, through mitigating the roadblocks and empowering the immediate caregivers in communities.
