During the months of April, May and June 2019, the Goal for Equality project carried out actions involving students, educators, young people and the community in order to promote gender equality and the empowerment of girls, using sport as a social transformation tool.

We currently serve 250 students, 115 girls and 135 boys. The main actions carried out were:

1-      06 Formation meetings of the team of educators;

2-      Sport Classes in the Modalities:

• 80 classes in the modalities of: Skate, Futsal, Volleyball, Basketball, Judo, Capoeira and School of Sports, applying the Gol de Letra methodology, that besides the sports modality contents, includes discussions of subjects interesting to the group, involving relations of respect, responsibility, ethics, commitment to personal and group assignments, self-esteem and other transversal issues.

3-      31 Workshops about Education, Sport and Gender for 250 adolescents and young people.

Highlights of the quarter:

SPORTS AND GENDER FESTIVAL – The festival is an affirmative action that aims to enhance the discussion about gender equality and give visibility to the sports practice of girls in the community.

EXTERNAL ACTIVITIES – To expand the cultural and relational repertoire of the participants, mainly in activities related to the theme, external activities were carried out with the groups. The places visited were: Afro Brazil Museum, Skate Camp, Sensei Solange Pessoa Judo Academy and Perifeminas.

We currently serve 242 students, 104 girls and 138 boys. The main actions carried out were:

1. Promotion of the activities, publishing the updated grid schedule for 2019;
2. Admission of new participants;
3. Renewal of former participants for data update;
4. 03 Training Meetings involving the team of educators;
5. Sport Classes in the Modalities:

• 84 classes in the modalities of: Skate, Futsal, Volleyball, Basketball, Capoeira and School of Sports, applying the Gol de Letra methodology, that besides the sports modality contents, includes discussions of subjects interesting to the group, involving relations of respect, responsibility, ethics, commitment to personal and group assignments, self-esteem and other transversal issues.

Highlight of the quarter:

Revelry Walking Event. In the pre-carnival days we approached themes such as Fighting against Harassment and Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections. These contents were further elaborated during the month in workshops and training sessions with teams of people and young leaders.
