Project Update: Protecting Rainforests Together
Gondwana Rainforest Trust is dedicated to protecting the future of the world’s rainforests by purchasing, protecting and restoring endangered ecosystems. Working in partnership with Traditional Owners, we secure high-conservation-value rainforest and restore degraded land to ensure these incredible landscapes are protected for generations to come.
These globally significant Gondwana rainforests are under increasing pressure from habitat loss, fragmentation, invasive species and climate change. Through our work, we are safeguarding biodiversity and creating a connected network of rainforest refuges that support wildlife, cultural values and long-term ecosystem health.
Right now, we are actively working to protect several critical properties, including Lot 2 in the Daintree, Possum Ridge in Bellenden Ker and another new project in the Daintree, currently in progress. To secure this new site, we are working towards raising a deposit so we can move quickly to protect it before it is lost.
Every contribution brings us closer to protecting these irreplaceable rainforests.
Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported our work. Your generosity is directly helping to protect biodiversity, restore habitat and secure the future of these extraordinary ecosystems
