He visited the classrooms, interacted with the children, shook hands with the students, and expressed his happiness and appreciation for the friendly and inclusive learning environment. His interaction with the children created a joyful atmosphere and encouraged the students, teachers, and parents.
As part of the Health Program, the UNO distributed essential hygiene materials among the Girls students with Disabilities, including menstrual hygiene materials for adolescent girls with disabilities, toothpaste and toothbrushes, and hand-washing soap. These materials will contribute to improved personal hygiene, menstrual health management, and awareness of healthy practices among children and adolescent girls with disabilities.
Under the Education Program, educational materials, including exercise books (Khata), were distributed among the students to support their regular learning and educational participation. In addition, under the humanitarian support initiative, dry food packages were distributed to disadvantaged and flood-affected families of children with disabilities. This support was particularly important for families affected by flooding and other socio-economic vulnerabilities.
The presence and participation of the UNO demonstrated the importance of government-community partnership for promoting disability inclusion, education, health, hygiene, and humanitarian assistance. The activities benefited the children and families directly while also raising the visibility of the rights and needs of persons with disabilities within the local community.
