The past 3 years our society and community was challenged by the devasting impacts of COVID-19. More specifically, none felt its consequences more acutely than those experiencing homelessness in its various forms. During all this time, Emfasis Streetwork Team & 2 Mobile Support Units implemented relief programs in order to provide the Greek homeless community with humanitarian aid & support them with mentoring & phychosocial counseling. Staying true to our principle "beneficiary-lead", we managed to meet their different needs in a personalized way.
What is more, with our invaluable support we raised 3.713$ that enabled us to:
a) reach out to 6.500+ individuals & 300+ families
b) distribute 1.100+ hygiene items & 5.500+ first-aid items & 2.000+ survival kits
c) provide temporary safe housing for individuals with critical health issues
The geographical coverage of our relief activations included the prefecture of Attica and 18 different municipalities.
Our team remained on high alert regarding covid contaminations on the streets untill recently. Unfortunately, another crisis has taken the place of covid-19. This time is a climate one, with the unprecedented natural disasters in Magnesia & Karditsa causing tremendous issues on a humanitarian, social & economic level.

However, we continue the distributions of hygiene products to our vulnerable fellow citizens on a daily basis during our Streetwork Shifts & we accomodating an intermediate role by communicating on behalf of our people with public health authorities in cases of emergency.
If it was not for your support we would not be able to have come so far. Our dedicated teams of certified volunteers will keep on their efforts to impact positively the quality of life of thousands of people, conducting their mission with the utmost respect and discretion for the vulnerable.
We do not pass by, we support!
