This summer, the Taiwan Love and Hope International Charity organized its free annual summer camp to support working parents within their community, providing a safe, engaging space for their children. Running from last July through the third week of August, before the school year begins in September, the camp offered a variety of enriching activities, including English lessons and creative DIY projects.
A major highlight was a special event featuring "Fun Jungle - Natural Ecological Education." Led by "Snake Snake Teacher," a biology expert from National Chung Hsing University, children and parents were guided into real natural habitats. The kids got up close with small animals, transforming initial nervousness into brave interactions that built confidence, patience, and respect for life.
Additionally, the summer included active excursions like a visit to the Science and Technology Museum led by love and hope staff. During this trip, a young girl with a rare disease—who arrived two years ago with severe cognitive and physical difficulties—showcased her remarkable progress. Conquering challenges with incredible balance and a confident smile, her joy highlighted the profound, life-changing impact of the charity’s dedicated care.
