By IsraAID Staff | IsraAID Guatemala
In August, IsraAID celebrated World Breastfeeding Week, honoring the transformative power of breastfeeding for mothers and children across the globe. Our teams gathered to recognize the vital role this practice plays in promoting maternal and child well-being.
In Guatemala, over 100 nursing and pregnant women participated in IsraAID's 'Walk for Breastfeeding,' a community event to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding. Proper breastfeeding practices are often a lifeline in emergency settings, providing infants with essential nutrients and antibodies that help protect them from life-threatening illnesses. It also reduces the risk of malnutrition and promotes a strong bond between mother and child. We were inspired to witness the community unite in support of a healthier future for all.
Thank you for your continued support, which enables us to advocate for mothers and babies worldwide.
