Dear Girls Education for Brighter Futures Donors,
Graduate Women International (GWI) extends heartfelt gratitude for your generous donations to the Girls Education for Brighter Futures programme that, in part, contribute to the GWI Bina Roy Partners in Development (BRPID) programme.
For the BRPID 2024-2025 round, applications were received from GWI affiliates in Uganda, El Salvador, Nepal, Senegal, and Egypt. These micro, short-term project grants focus on training women in various skills that will create long-term benefits for thousands of benefactors.
To empower women around the world, project initiatives range from education, health, technology, and environmental sustainability. Your contributions fuel GWI's mission; the fund is allocated to equipping illiterate women in Nepal with basic skills through arithmetic and literacy courses, to women’s entrepreneurship and providing menstrual health solutions in Uganda by training them to make reusable sanitary pads. In Egypt, women will be empowered to take charge of their well-being through health and nutrition education, while in El Salvador, AI training will bridge the digital divide and equip them with future-proof skills. Finally, Senegal will see the creation of green clubs in schools, educating both students and women on sustainable practices to nurture environmental stewardship.
We are pleased to announce all projects are funded from this month and will run, with your support, through June 2025, resulting in long-lasting benefits far beyond the grant timeframe and enabling the affiliate with a relevant and impactful project for which they can manage going forward.
Once again, GWI is deeply grateful for your charitable contributions. Your support is instrumental in our mission to promote lifelong education for women and girls.
With utmost appreciation,
Stacy Dry Lara
GWI Executive Director
