The Res-Fund will create a center for environmental education, culture, and awareness which will serve as the center of environmental leadership and policies for Haiti. Haiti's population growth coupled with poor urban planning in the past decade has led to an increase in generated waste and land erosion and shore deterioration.
Lack of environmental planning and waste management and education at the individual level lead to a lack of control of environmental in Haiti which could soon lead to an environmental disaster.
Provide curricula leading to degrees and training in Urban planning, sustainable development, waste management, and related training certifications. Deliver campaigns on waste minimization, pollution control and understanding and minimizing the negative impact of their actions on the environment. Engage the local communities specially women to develop environmentally friendly businesses Organize thematic events, to facilitate exchanges and transfer of knowledge with other countries
The goal is for this institute to become the center of reference on how to treat environmental protection matters in Haiti, and to create competent professionals and a national consciousness to help Haiti develop an environmental policies aligned with the World's directives.
