Dear Friend,
On behalf of all our staff and patients, thank you for your generous giving to Partners In Health (PIH)! We are so grateful for your partnership.
Since the earthquake struck Haiti in 2021, you have helped strengthen Zanmi Lasante (ZL), PIH’s sister organization in Haiti, so that our patients can access care even during times of emergency. Now, Haiti continues to grapple with severe political instability, escalating violence, and a deepening humanitarian crisis. But with your support, ZL continues providing care and hope for the communities we serve.
ZL’s mobile clinics have been transformative for patients like Odilia Paul, pictured above. Because she lives in a remote mountainous community and faces reduced mobility from the loss of a foot, Paul has struggled with daily tasks, such as fetching food or medicine. When she heard ZL was hosting a mobile clinic in a nearby village, she was one of the first to arrive the next day. Through the clinic, she received medical care, personalized advice, and medication.
She told PIH, “Thanks to you, I received quality care without spending a penny. You went where few others dare to go. You treated us with dignity, and I hope these clinics continue so others like me have a chance.”
It is your generosity that allows us to provide such crucial care to our patients. Thank you for sharing in our commitment to demonstrating what is possible in delivering care to vulnerable and marginalized communities.
With gratitude,
Partners In Health
