Ideal Time for Planting Trees

By Project Leader | Reforestation Program

Dear friends and family,

We have found expressing gratitude to be a powerful antidote to a spirit of discouragement as the post pandemic is still felt among our community. Nonetheless, taking time to jot a note of thanks to each one of you provides a reminder of how richly blessed we have been with your support in reaching our goals.

The cold winter can bring disease to some of the most vulnerable population with feeble immune systems. Though the afternoon sun may be quite warm with clear skies, the mornings and evenings are very cold. Sunrises are often misty accompanied with drizzly rains. Not to mention that during the night the temperature can descend to very near the freezing-point.

Hence, the decision to postpone our tree plantation for this coming August 2024. The soil will be moist during this time, which helps the trees establish their roots more effectively. Planting trees by then will also reduce the need for frequent watering, as the trees can benefit from natural rainfall.

We will certainly keep you on the loop once the tree plantation program will resume. We are grateful for all you have done and pledge our best efforts in continuing this service in our ongoing projects on GlobalGiving. We may not be able to adequately thank you in person for playing a huge part in supporting our mission, yet, please accept our warmest heartfelt thanks.

To respected family donors, we are sending you best wishes and positive vibes.

With gratitude,

Halt Poverty team
