Dear friends and family,
The International Day of Clean Energy aims to raise awareness and mobilize actions for a just and inclusive transition to clean energy for the benefit of people and the planet according to the UN Environment program. Four out of five people living in the dark are in Sub-Saharan Africa.
In 2023, the world bank estimated that only 33,7% of the Malagasy population has access to electricity. Almost 19 million people are believed to lack electricity access. In other words, Madagascar is thirteenth in the list of countries with the largest unelectrified population worldwide.
We cannot tell you how much all of us at Halt Poverty appreciate your generous support of our cause. Thank you for your donation in support of halt lighting deprivation project. $310 raised to improve personal safety, reduce incidence of fires from kerosene lamps tipping over, decrease CO2 emissions with less pollution exposure.
In your act of generosity, we find an illuminated path forward, guided by your compassion. Your kindness not only lights the way for those we serve but also serves as a guiding star that leads us in our mission. Thank you for your heartfelt and kind-hearted donations.
Warm wishes,
Halt Poverty team
