Your Steady Support Keeps our Work Moving Forward

By Portable Solar Lantern Program | Project Leader

Dear friends and family,

On behalf of the entire team at Halt Poverty, thank you so much for your generous donation:
$360 on February 25, 2026
$821 on March 31, 2026
$990 on April 24, 2026

Your generosity changes lives. Thank you for fueling our mission with your kindness. We want to personally share how your contribution is making a difference. Because of your support, we were able to provide cost-free, renewable illumination without grid dependency. They eliminate monthly electricity bills, reduce carbon footprints, and offer completely wireless, easy setup anywhere.

You didn’t just make a contribution; you sent hope and created tangible change in our community:

Health and Safety

  • Better Respiratory and Eye Health: Eliminating indoor smoke and soot reduces the risk of respiratory infections and eye irritation.
  • Fewer Accidents: They remove the risk of accidental fires, burn injuries, and property damage commonly associated with overturned kerosene lamps.
  • Pest Deterrence: The bright light is often used in rural areas to deter insects, snakes, and other pests at night.
  • Security: Wireless lights remove tripping hazards from exposed extension cords. They are also highly effective at illuminating dark driveways and pathways to deter intruders.

Socio Economic Impact

  • Cost Savings: Households save money by no longer needing to purchase expensive, polluting fuels like kerosene.
  • Extended Business Hours: Vendors and shop owners can keep market stalls open after dark, increasing their earning potential.
  • Device Charging: Many modern solar lanterns include USB ports, allowing families to charge mobile phones at home rather than paying for commercial charging services.

We are deeply grateful to have you in our circle of supporters. We will keep you updated on our progress so you can see exactly how your contribution is helping.

With warmest regards,
Halt Poverty team
